Note
Initially WhatsApp channel will not be supported via the Messaging API in the new Sandbox site. However, it will be supported for all regions via Flows and the Sandbox Home page.
Support for the WhatsApp channel via the Messaging API will be added in a future update. Stay tuned for further announcements.
Overview
Webex Connect sandbox mode offer the following APIs for WhatsApp channel:
- Send WhatsApp API for sending a WhatsApp message
- Retrieve WhatsApp Status API to retrieve the delivery status of a message sent using Webex Connect
- Supported Message types: Text, Template, Media (Image, Video, Document, Audio and File), Contact and Location
Authentication
Webex Connect sandbox mode currently supports key based authentication using Service Key. JWT Authentication that's supported as part of the production accounts isn't available in sandbox mode at the moment.
